Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Shapiro 9E unit in Boston seeks a Registered Nurse responsible for planning and providing patient care per Nursing Standards of Care. Requires initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills for patients with complex needs. Newly licensed nurses require a BSN.

Shift: 36 hours, variable night, onsite at 70 Francis Street, Boston. Inpatient medical cardiology experience is required; Cardiac ICU experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts.
• New graduates: Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates a plan of care for a specific patient assignment.
• Maintains clear communication and appropriate growth and development knowledge for adults and geriatrics.
• Administers medications safely according to policies and procedures.
• Upholds ANA ethics and participates in unit and organization quality programs.
