Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated, Brigham and Women's Hospital, is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Medical ICU (MICU) at Boston’s 75 Francis Street. This 36-hour night shift, full-time position is onsite with the US hospital system.

You will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for adults and geriatric patients, document thoroughly, administer medications safely, and collaborate with the care team while adhering to nursing standards and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts.
• For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
• Minimum 1 year current Critical Care nursing experience.
• ACLS and CCRN certifications preferred.
• Weekend rotation per the MNA contract.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate a plan of care for a specific patient assignment.
• Set priorities when organizing care for patients with varying acuity.
• Maintain clear and concise verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development of adult and geriatric patients.
• Document patient care in accordance with nursing standards and documentation policies.
• Administer medications safely according to policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the health care team to achieve patient goals.
• Participate in unit-based and organizational quality improvement programs.
