Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead the Cardiac Observation and IMCU nursing team. The role guides patient care, serves as a resource for staff, and supports department staffing and development in collaboration with leadership and quality initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years RN experience, SC RN licensure or Compact licensure, BSN preferred, and AHA BLS certification, contributing to a high-performance unit in a teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a professional nurse in the state of South Carolina or via Compact Licensure.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide the nursing care of patients on the unit under the supervision of the Department Director.
• Serve as a resource person for fellow employees and support departmental staff in team development.
• Participate in long-term unit planning in collaboration with nursing schools, medical staff and administrative staff.
