Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to care for critically ill cardiac patients in the ICU. The role provides advanced nursing and medical care under GA Nurse Protocol and collaborates with the cardiovascular critical care team.

Candidates must hold an active GA APRN license with ACNP/AGACNP certification, BLS and ACLS, and meet credentialing guidelines. Night shifts are from 6pm to 6am.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• Hold an Advanced Practice Nursing license in Georgia and ANCC NP certification (ACNP/AGACNP).
• Refer to Medical Staff Guidelines for required certifications and credentialing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing and medical care to critically ill cardiac patients in the ICU.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, establish diagnoses, and order/interpret tests.
• Initiate and manage therapies and coordinate care with the cardiovascular critical care team.
• Practice per Georgia Board of Nursing regulations and institutional privileges.
