Job summary

Penn Medicine's Heart and Vascular ICU is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary team delivering care to patients undergoing complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including transplants. This role emphasizes leadership, teaching, and clinical excellence.

The AP will perform invasive procedures, collaborate with physicians, and manage patients on mechanical support such as VADs and ECMO, contributing to cutting-edge patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS CPR are required.
• CRNP/PA certification and prescriptive authority required.
• RN licensure and CRNP licensure (PA) required with national certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, teaching, and high-level care in HVICU.
• Perform invasive procedures (central lines, arterial lines, dialysis catheters).
• Manage patients requiring mechanical circulatory support (VAD, ECMO).
• Collaborate with intensivists and surgical teams to deliver world-class care.
