Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Maryland, or eligible to practice.
• One year nursing experience. Solid knowledge and clinical skills.
• Current BLS certification required. Unit-based licensure as required by the unit/department.
• Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years.
• Recent applicable clinical experience in a comparable setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides independent care to unit-specific patient population; serves as clinical resource for others.
• Acts as primary coordinating nurse; collaborates with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care.
• Supports unit operations and participates in Performance Improvement activities.
• Precepts and mentors new nurses and students.
