Job summary

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, seeks an Assistant Professor (clinician educator track) with expertise in complex catheter ablation and device implantation. MD or MD/PhD required; board certification/eligibility in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology is required.

The role includes teaching CCEP fellows, cardiovascular fellows, residents, and medical students; outpatient clinics and EP lab duties;

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD or equivalent degree.
• Board certified/board eligible in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology is required.
• Expertise in complex catheter ablation and device implantation.

Responsibilities

• Teach CCEP fellows, cardiovascular fellows, medicine residents, and medical students on inpatient consultation service; teach in outpatient clinic; and teach CCEP fellows in the EP lab.
• Perform outpatient clinic at least one full day per week and EP lab procedures about 3 days per week; inpatient consultations twice per month.
• Establish an independent research program, conduct and publish studies, and mentor clinical and research fellows.
• Lecture on research at regional and national conferences and pursue extramural funding.
