Job summary

Medtronic is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to contribute to architecture, design, verification, and lifecycle support of electrical systems for cardiac mapping and ablation therapies. You will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across the device lifecycle.

The role emphasizes Design for Reliability, risk management, and ownership of workstreams while supporting sustaining engineering and development activities in a fast-paced medical

Qualifications

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience or a Master’s with minimal experience.
  • Preferred: experience in analog/digital mixed-signal design and safety-critical circuitry.
  • EMC/ESD mitigation experience is desirable.
  • Ability to contribute to technical decisions within multidisciplinary systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support electrical design activities for cardiac ablation platforms and safety-critical subsystems.
  • Contribute to architectures, requirements, and design approaches for RF and pulsed field ablation.
  • Assist with risk management, hazard analyses, and failure investigations of electrical subsystems.
  • Lead and participate in design reviews, verification, and validation across product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams.
