Cardiac Electrophysiology Physician Advisor, Disability Peer Review

Dane Street is expanding our physician panel! This telework opportunity offers supplemental income for physicians with a flexible caseload tailored to your schedule. Our physician panel consists of independent contractors (1099), compensated per case.

Ideal Candidate: Board Certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology with an active medical license. Dual certification in cardiovascular disease or cardiology is a plus.

Requirements

Job Summary: As a Physician Advisor for Disability Peer Review, your expertise in Cardiac Electrophysiology will be used to review cases and provide expert opinions on medical necessity. You will ensure reviews comply with client policies and nationally recognized standards of care.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Review and assess medical records related to Cardiac Electrophysiology, addressing client queries using appropriate criteria.
2. Provide clear, concise determinations with well-supported documentation.
3. Utilize current medical guidelines, evidence-based resources, and peer-reviewed literature to inform decisions.
4. Deliver timely reports with relevant criteria used in reviews.
5. Meet deadlines for case completion and submission.
6. Conduct follow-up communications as needed.
7. Maintain necessary licensure and certifications.
8. Participate in training and orientation programs.
9. Handle quality assurance and participate in audits as required.
