Job Title: Cardiac Electrophysiologist (Assistant Professor)

Summary

Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a full-time Cardiac Electrophysiologist faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank to join an existing group of four cardiac electrophysiology faculty members.

Job Duties

Cardiac Electrophysiologist faculty responsibilities include direct procedural, inpatient, and outpatient clinical care; teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; university/public service; and regular attendance at scheduled meetings and CME activities. The incumbents should be able to provide expert clinical care in the field of electrophysiology. Training is required in the specific areas of lead extraction, advanced ablations, left atrial appendage occlusion, and device implantations. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a diverse group of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and nurse practitioners in one of the most highly regarded Cardiovascular Programs in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or D.O. or equivalent degree.
  2. Applicants must be board-certified in cardiovascular disease and board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
  3. The successful candidate should have excellent clinical and procedural skills, be willing to actively participate in medical education, and have an interest in clinical research.
  4. The successful candidate must be eligible for a Texas medical license.
  5. Faculty appointment with Baylor College of Medicine will be commensurate with the applicant's background and accomplishments.
