Job summary

USA Health is seeking a dedicated EKG technician to support cardiac care across our Gulf Coast facilities. Responsibilities include verifying orders, adhering to infection control standards, and preparing equipment for procedures.

You will perform EKGs on adults and children, respond quickly to urgent Stat EKGs, and operate 24-hour Holter monitor setups for physician interpretation. This role requires a high school diploma and BCLS certification, with 20+ hours per week program benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 months of EKG or other allied health experience. Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician's order for correctness and completeness.
• Follow relevant infection control procedures (handwashing, gloves, gowns, mask, etc.).
• Confirm patient identification from wristband.
• Prepare relevant equipment and supplies.
• Performs electrocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients; respond to Stat EKG within 5 minutes.
• Performs 24 hour Holter Monitors by connecting portable recorder and generating the report for Cardiologist interpretation.
