Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year of specialized training in EEG or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six months experience in EEG/EKG.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Obtain accurate and well-defined EKG tracings.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock EEG and EKG machines per department policy.
• Verify daily that EEG and EKG machines are functional; report malfunctions.
• Respond to CODE BLUE calls and ensure continuous EKG tracing as per policy.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions to ease patient comfort.
• Prepare tracings for interpretation and ensure timely delivery to physicians.
• Transport EKG machines as needed and verify orders in chart.
