Intermountain Health in Murray, UT is seeking a dedicated EKG Technician to perform non-invasive cardiac EKG tests on inpatients and outpatients, ensuring accurate handling of data and collaboration with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities include operating Holter and other monitors, maintaining equipment, and notifying physicians of critical values according to policy; this role requires BLS certification and completion of the Intermountain EKG course within four months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Must take and pass the Intermountain Healthcare EKG course and pass associated skills within four months of hire.
• Prior patient care or customer service experience.
• Prior EKG technical or interpretation experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform EKG exams per department protocol and demonstrate competency.
• Complete studies within accepted time limits without compromising patient care.
• Complete orders and charge entry timely and accurately.
• Maintain equipment and report variances impacting function.
• Notify physicians of critical values and ensure proper patient identification.
• Provide patient education and comfort; assist with Holter and stress tests.
• Maintain records and logs per Joint Commission and accrediting bodies.
