Job summary

US Department of Veterans Affairs through the National CARDIO-VET Network seeks a Fee Basis Cardiac Echocardiography Technician to provide echocardiograms for Veterans in rural areas. This role supports the CARDIO-VET Network Program and pays on a fee-for-service basis, depending on services performed.

The incumbent must meet basic requirements; travel to treatment areas and operate echocardiography equipment; licensure not required but certification preferred; GS-9 level with leadership duties

Qualifications

• No specific educational requirements for this occupation.
• Education may be substituted for experience at GS-4 and GS-5 levels.
• Licensure or Certification is not required but desirable at GS-6 or above.
• Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac echocardiograms on a fee-for-service basis.
• Provide services within the National CARDIO-VET Network to Veterans in rural areas.
• Travel to treatment locations as needed and operate echocardiography equipment.
