Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer (Full-Time) to perform echocardiography studies and support cardiology services at Kishwaukee Community Hospital. On-call duties include weekend rotations with a 45-minute report-to-hospital requirement.

The role requires ARDMS-accredited training and RDCS eligibility, with demonstrated experience in adult and pediatric echocardiography, along with strong patient communication and clinical documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of ARDMS accredited program specializing in Cardiovascular Ultrasound.
• Experience in Adult and Pediatric Echocardiography; ability to perform stresses and TEEs if applicable.
• Verbal and written communication skills; ability to document and coordinate with physicians.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment with appropriate transducer settings.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort; positions patient as required.
• Performs emergency examinations at bedside or ED when needed.
• Maintains records of Echocardiograms and relevant documentation.
