Job summary

Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City seeks an ultrasound specialist to perform echocardiograms, stress echoes, and vascular studies under physician supervision. Travel to rural locations may be required.

Education: graduate of an approved ultrasound program; ARDMS/CCI eligibility with BLS. One year of echo/vascular imaging preferred. You will ensure quality exams are sent to PACS and entered into Cerner.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Ultrasound required.
• ARDMS/CCI certification or registry eligible; must pass registry within one year; BLS certification required.
• 1 year of echo and non-invasive vascular imaging experience preferred.
• Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and send high-quality exams to PACS and enter in Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms, vascular studies and stress echoes as directed by physicians.
• Assist in preparing patients and ultrasound procedures.
• Schedule PMs on ultrasound equipment.
• Assist in calling service on equipment as needed.
• Complete daily exam reports and logs in a timely manner.
• Prepare room and equipment; keep area clean and stocked.
• Carry and transport portable ultrasound equipment as needed.
• Review patient charts for completeness before clinic visits.
