Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO is seeking an Echocardiography Technician to perform ultrasound studies and related testing with attention to patient safety and data accuracy. You will handle routine instrument maintenance, documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality results.

The role requires BLS CPR and ARDMS/RDCS/RVS/RCS/RVT spectrum certifications as options, with 1+ year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) preferred.
• Associate degree preferred; BLS CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and corrects recording instrument malfunctions or unusual patient problems that interfere with recordings.
• Independently prioritizes clinical and administrative work and identifies process improvements.
• Processes patient and department records, ensuring documentation of performed tests in accordance with hospital standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Adjusts approach based on patient understanding of test procedures and provides on-call coverage as required.
• Maintains and reviews equipment, ensuring proper function and calibration of machines.
• Performs accurate echocardiograms ordered by physicians.
• Conducts tests using TEE, Stress Echo, Pharmacological Stress Echo, EKGs, Treadmills, and Holter monitors.
