Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital - Cardiovascular Diagnostics is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer for a full-time, on-site role in Illinois. You will perform advanced echocardiography studies, assist in EP labs, and ensure high-quality imaging while coordinating with physicians.

Required are accredited sonography education and ARDMS/CCI certifications, with BLS and strong interpersonal skills. Weekend rotation is part of the schedule and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school including an accredited Sonography program.
• Experience with echocardiography and cardiac imaging procedures.
• Ability to obtain and interpret patient history relevant to imaging.
• Strong understanding of imaging principles and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac ultrasound procedures (M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, Color Flow) and measures parameters for interpretation.
• Assists in catheterization and EP labs by performing echocardiography as needed.
• Identifies abnormalities and expands examination scope appropriately.
• Prepares patients and collects clinical history to tailor imaging techniques.
• Maintains lab equipment and communicates findings to staff.
