Job summary

WellSpan Health’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, PA seeks an ultrasound echocardiography technologist to perform routine cardiac ultrasound procedures, including adult, pediatric, and stress echocardiograms, and to assist with transesophageal studies.

The role includes patient education, IV access, contrast administration, preparing preliminary reports, maintaining PACS workflow, and providing essential clerical support. It is a PRN daytime position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree Required
• Less than 1 year relevant experience. Required
• Accredited program in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography. Upon Hire Required
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer credentials (various specializations) Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cardiac ultrasound techniques and examinations (adult, pediatric, stress, 3D echo).
• Assists physicians with transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Supervises and evaluates students in clinical education.
• Obtains intravenous access and administers contrast agents (Definity, Optison).
• Prepares preliminary echocardiogram reports for physicians.
• Performs portable tests in patient rooms and handles clerical duties (scheduling, billing codes, phones).
• Maintains PACS and related workflow software; performs routine maintenance.
