Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to work closely with physicians and cardiology staff to perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound studies, including TTE/TEE, with and without pharmacologic stress. The role emphasizes accurate imaging, patient communication, and collaboration with IT systems like Cupid Report.

Must have an associate degree in cardiovascular technology or 3+ years of experience, with ARDMS/CCI preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a cardiac ultrasound program with an associate degree in cardiovascular technology or 3+ years of experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer preferred.
• Pediatric Echocardiography experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult cardiac ultrasound exams (TTE, TEE, SE) following ICAEL/ASE guidelines.
• Demonstrate correct controls to optimize image quality and visualization of structures.
• Accurately perform required measurements for cardiovascular diagnoses.
• Explain the procedure to the patient clearly and maintain a calm demeanor throughout.
• Assist physicians with ultrasound software and image selection at the end of exams.
• Enter data and technologist interpretations into the Cupid Report system.
• Maintain and inventory equipment, ensure supplies are adequate.
• Provide cheerful customer service and uphold teamwork.
