Requires an Associate's or Vocational degree in diagnostic sonography and 0–2 years of cardiac sonography experience. Licensure options include BLS and registry eligibility with certification within the first year.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree from a diagnostic sonography program required, echocardiography preferred.
• 0–2 years Cardiac Sonography experience.
• Valid Driver’s License required upon hire; MN and WI residents must obtain a license within 60 days if working in MHI Mobile Echo department.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and special cardiac procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines.
• Identifies patient and sets up for exam; documents accurately all aspects of the procedure.
• Finalizes scan reports and sends to appropriate area for reading; maintains room turnover and equipment readiness.
