Job summary

Concord Hospital Health System seeks an Echo Technologist to perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echocardiograms (STEC) and assist with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE). You will document and maintain patient data, manage workload, and adapt to clinical changes while supporting physicians in heart disease assessment.

Responsibilities include testing and billing, equipment handling, and participating in department goals.

Qualifications

  • Two years of formal training beyond high school in Cardiac Ultrasonography.
  • Certification: American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
  • ARDMS or CCI registry within 2 years of hire per IAC guidelines; ongoing maintenance.
  • State licensure required for Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.

Job description

Hours: 4X10 example of shift 6:30-5p; weekends are overtime call shifts, no overnight call.

Summary

Produces ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures for use by Physician in diagnosis and study of heart disease.

Education

Two years of formal training or education beyond the high school level, in Cardiac Ultrasonography.

Certification, Registration, and Licensure

Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.

Registration required to obtain: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) registry in accordance with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) guidelines within 2 years of hire and maintained thereafter.

State licensure for Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy is required.

Experience

Experience in Cardiac Ultrasonography is required, will consider clinical days/time as experience, minimum of 6 to 12 months.
