Arkansas Heart Hospital, LLC seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams with 2-D/3-D echocardiography, Doppler, and Colorflow in a timely manner. The role collaborates with physicians and nurses to ensure safe, accurate patient care and may participate in stress or pharmacologic echocardiograms.

Registration-eligible is required; RDCS/RCS is preferred or expected within six months. BLS is required within 90 days of employment.

Qualificações

• Associates degree or certificate in diagnostic ultrasound.
• RDCS or RCS registry-eligible; RDCS/RCS preferred/required within six months.

Responsabilidades

• Performs quality echocardiograms using 2-D/3-D, Colorflow, pulsed- and continuous-wave Doppler.
• Assists physicians and nurses with transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Responsible for probe care, sterilization and safety.
• May perform stress and pharmacological echocardiograms.
• Evaluates each test and provides physicians with preliminary reports.
• Maintains logs, stores echo studies, and ensures study availability to Cardiologist.
• Orders and stocks supplies for Echo department; maintains equipment.
• Performs Point of Care procedures per policy and quality control standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
