Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in the Puget Sound region seeks a Cardiac Nurse to care for patients with cardiac events, monitor vitals, and collaborate with cardiology and EP teams. The role includes device interrogation of pacemakers and defibrillators, programming, and coordinating follow-up care.

The nurse will educate patients on transmitting devices, wound care, and ongoing management while advancing clinical skills through continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two years of related nursing experience.
• RN license WA
• CPR certification
• ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Perform interrogation, evaluation and programming of cardiac rhythm management devices.
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot CIED programmers and perform checks in clinic and via remote follow-up.
• Manage device data and document findings; educate patients on transmitting devices and follow-up care.
• Identify urgent device issues and communicate with EP/Cardiology providers.
• Inspect post-implant wound site and provide appropriate patient care.
