Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Washington state is seeking a Cardiac Nurse to care for patients with cardiac events and guide families through daily care and long-term planning outside the hospital.

You will monitor vitals, report abnormalities to a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists and other cardiovascular professionals, and provide patient education on device use and follow-up. A commitment to continuing education will support your clinical advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with WA RN licensure.
• Two years’ related cardiac/nursing experience or equivalent.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with cardiac events and manage implants/CIED devices.
• Interrogate and evaluate pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders per protocol.
• Train patients on transmitting devices and ensure follow-up care.
• Assess wound site post-implant and coordinate device follow-up.
