Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for Jersey City Medical Center, Cardiac Post CTICU. The role supports RNs with vital signs, bed-side care, and monitoring in a fast-paced post-CTICU setting.

The PCT role requires a High School Diploma or GED, CNA or nursing assistant experience preferred, and AHA BLS certification. Schedule typically Monday–Friday days, with weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AHA BLS certification preferred or required.
• CNA certificate or nursing assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and assist with nursing care.
• Monitor patient health status and document findings.
• Record patient information in EHR with confidentiality.
• Follow infection control policies to keep patients safe.
• Communicate with patients, families, and staff to coordinate care.
• Provide basic patient care and support to RNs as needed.
