Job summary
St. Clair Health in Pittsburgh seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to serve as Gatekeeper for the CTICU, coordinating inflow and outflow of cardiovascular and thoracic patients in collaboration with the Patient Placement Manager and critical care physicians.
The role provides continuity of care for heart failure service patients, performing initial evaluations and initiating appropriate care delivery for those admitted to the heart failure service.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Currently licensed to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Prescriptive authority privileges.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Gatekeeper for the CTICU and manage inflow and outflow of cardiovascular and thoracic patients.
- Collaborate with the Patient Placement Manager and the critical care physician.
- Provide continuity of care for patients admitted or consulted by the heart failure service.
- Provide initial evaluation and institute care delivery for patients admitted to the heart failure service.
