Responsibilities

Cardiac Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

The Center for Cardiovascular Health and the Franciscan Medical group at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) are actively looking to hire a full-time Cardiac Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at St. Joseph Medical Center (SJMC) in Tacoma, WA. The Center for Cardiovascular Health includes over 160 cardiovascular providers that support VMFH across 11 hospitals and nearly 300 sites of care throughout the greater Puget Sound region.

Job Description

In this role, you will support cardiac anesthesia services primarily in the EP lab and cardiac catheterization laboratories at SJMC. We have a busy Cardiac Electrophysiology program with nearly 1000 ablations annually, including complex procedures and a robust Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion program. You and other CRNAs will staff the 3 EP labs. There is no overnight or weekend call in this role. Oversight will be provided by 6 Cardiac Anesthesiologists supporting the Cardiovascular Services at SJMC. This is a unique “cardiac only” model with guaranteed salary, joining our nationally recognized, award-winning care team at SJMC.

We perform over 500 open heart surgeries annually, including many mitral valve procedures. Our active cardiac interventional program includes TEE-dependent electrophysiology procedures, structural heart interventions (TAVR/WATCHMAN/Mitra-clip), and other cath lab procedures. Salary: $286,000 (1.0 FTE)
