Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital is seeking a Registered Research Nurse to manage and coordinate all aspects of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to protocol requirements and GCP. The role emphasizes recruitment, screening, enrollment, and follow-up of subjects while maintaining regulatory documentation and contributing to the dissemination of results.

The position requires a BSN, Virginia RN license (or compact), and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Two years of nursing or research experience required.
• Experience conducting clinical trials in accordance with protocol and GCP.
• Maintains accurate regulatory documentation and study records.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of conducting clinical trials, clinically and administratively.
• Recruit, screen, enroll, and follow-up eligible subjects per protocol requirements.
• Ensure conformance with protocol guidelines, departmental standards, and federal regulations (GCP).
• Maintain accurate, complete regulatory documentation for audits and inspections.
• Participate in writing, presenting, and publishing study results; liaise among investigators, IRB, and sponsor.
