Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital, located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to manage and coordinate all aspects of conducting clinical trials.

The successful candidate will apply protocol requirements, ensure compliance with GCP, recruit and enroll subjects, maintain regulatory documents, and serve as a liaison among investigators, the IRB, and the sponsor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• CCRPs/ACRP certifications required within 3 years of employment.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical research or clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of conducting clinical trials within Sentara Healthcare.
• Ensure studies are conducted in conformance with protocol guidelines and GCP.
• Recruit, screen, enroll and follow up with eligible subjects per protocol.
• Maintain accurate and complete regulatory documentation.
• Act as liaison between investigators, the IRB and the sponsor.

Overview

Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator. The Clinical Research Coordinator manages and coordinates all aspects of conducting clinical trials within Sentara Healthcare, both clinically and administratively. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of protocol requirements to ensure that studies are properly conducted in conformance with the protocol guidelines, departmental standards and good clinical practices as set forth by federal regulations. Sound conduct of the clinical trial including recruitment, screening, enrollment and follow-up of eligible subjects according to protocol requirements. Maintenance of accurate and complete documentation of related regulatory documents. As the primary resource for the protocols, will act as liaison between the investigators, the institutional review board (IRB), and the sponsor.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI required within 90 days.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $70,033.60 - $100,630.40 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
