Job summary

Essentia Health in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota, is seeking an LPN/CMA to join the Cardiac Team in ambulatory care. You will provide direct patient care, support physicians and other providers, and help coordinate follow-up appointments and referrals.

This position requires current LPN licensure in the state and CMA/MA program completion with certification within one year. The role offers a 40-hour week, day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with no weekends, and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• BCLS certification or the ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program, with certification required within one year of hire (must pass certification within two attempts).
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state.

Responsibilities

• Patient care and monitoring: perform routine assessments, vital signs, and document patient histories.
• Coordination of care: collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop and implement care plans and referrals.
• Patient intake and preparation: gather histories, update information, and prepare patients for examinations or testing.
