Job summary

Liberty Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiac Clinical Decision Unit. You will use the nursing process to coordinate patient care, deliver safe, therapeutic care, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced cardiac unit in Liberty, Missouri.

Responsibilities include medication safety, triage, care planning, and patient/family education, with opportunities for professional growth, leadership and mentorship.

Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (NRN/LRN) with Kansas compact license.
• CPR/AED/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to medication safety policies and correct administration practices.
• Answers calls, triages patient care needs and coordinates with the team.
• Ensures patient safety with timely interventions and effective communication.
• Demonstrates leadership and mentors other staff.
• Coordinates care with hospital staff, vendors and physicians.
• Performs comprehensive nursing assessments and develops care plans.
• Provides patient and family education using available resources.
