Job summary

AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a skilled Cardiac Catheterization Technician for the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC). You will assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, operate advanced imaging and monitoring equipment, and ensure accurate documentation and patient safety throughout all procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technologist program accredited by CAAHEP.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and interventional procedures.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot complex imaging and monitoring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures (angioplasty, stent placement, pacemaker/defibrillator insertion).
• Prepare and position patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and monitoring throughout procedures.
• Operate and maintain cardiac catheterization lab equipment and imaging systems.
• Record and document patient history, procedural data, and results in electronic systems.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
