Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a health care related field is required.
• Direct patient care in the acute care/hospital setting is required.
• Knowledge of ECG tracings is preferred.
• Previous procedural experience is preferred.
• CRT-BLS (AHA or ARC) within 30 days is preferred.
• CRT-ACLS within 1 year is preferred.
• CRT-PALS within 1 year is preferred if pediatric patients are involved.
• CRT-RCES or RCIS within 3 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patient for the procedure.
• Supports and collects data to meet safety and quality expectations.
• Provides sterile instruments and supplies during diagnostic/invasive cardiac procedures.
• Assists with and operates supporting equipment for the procedure.
• Maintains documentation of the procedure for clinical, hemodynamic, billing and quality requirements.
• Administers medications under physician direction.
• Prepares room for cardiac catheterization procedures and restocks equipment.
• Communicates with patients and health care team to ensure continuity of services.
