GENERAL OVERVIEW

This position supports the Invasive Cardiologist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. The role involves demonstrating leadership and collaboration with team members to ensure efficient and cost-effective department operations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist with cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures, applying knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, and techniques. (45%)
2. Maintain expertise in current radiographic imaging techniques related to invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures. (15%)
3. Orient new staff on laboratory equipment operation, troubleshoot malfunctions, and coordinate support personnel. (15%)
4. Monitor for adverse reactions during procedures and respond appropriately. (15%)
5. Complete documentation for procedures, including regulatory, billing, and image storage. (10%)
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

• At least 3 years experience in a cardiac cath lab or interventional radiology.
• Radiography Certification and Registration with ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist with CCI.
• ACLS Certification.
• Critical thinking and independent judgment skills.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance.

Preferred

• Associate's Degree is preferred.
