Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Overview

Executes appropriate patient care by assisting physicians with diagnostic procedures. Supports team members before, during, and after procedures to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma/GED required.

License, certification and/or registration: Eligibility for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. BCLS certification required within 90 days of employment. ACLS certification required within 12 months. EKG Competency Testing required within the first 90 days and annually: (Part 1) Visual identification of 6 lethal cardiac rhythms, passing with 100%; (Part 2) Basic EKG rhythms written exam, passing with 85% or higher.

Experience: Experience in cardiac catheterization for diagnostic procedures, cardiovascular patient care, radiographic special procedures, and/or hemodynamic monitoring.

Additional Skills/Abilities: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, handle changing daily schedules, work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex cardiac conditions, and maintain integrity in the performance and reporting of diagnostic procedures. Ability to learn techniques quickly and accurately.
