GENERAL OVERVIEW

This job involves assisting in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac, peripheral, and EP procedures. The individual works directly with physicians, nurses, and other team members to provide safe, quality, and cost-effective patient care to achieve expected outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Integrate knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology, pathophysiology, and procedural techniques, assisting accordingly. (45%)
  • Maintain expertise in current radiographic imagery techniques related to invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures. (15%)
  • Operate laboratory equipment; troubleshoot malfunctions and contact support personnel. (15%)
  • Monitor procedural effects, identify adverse reactions/conditions, and respond appropriately. (15%)
  • Complete all required documentation for procedures, including regulatory, billing, and image storage. (10%)
Qualifications
Minimum
  • Radiography Certification and Registration with ARRT OR RCIS required within one year.
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology or Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist program.
  • ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • CPR certification (American Heart Association).
  • Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 background clearances.
Preferred
  • Associate degree.
  • 1 year experience in a Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Radiology.
