Job summary

Larkin Health in Hialeah, FL is seeking a Cardiac Tech or Interventional Radiology Tech to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You will prepare patients, operate x-ray equipment, and help obtain high-quality images under physician guidance.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, prepping and draping, scrubbing and circulating in IR areas, and maintaining sterile rooms and equipment. A proactive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to multitask are essential.

Qualifications

• Current BLS for the healthcare provider.
• RCIS Certification.
• Active and unrestricted RT license in the state of Florida preferred.
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience; Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
• AART or equivalent (for RT position, not required for Scrub Tech).
• Must be able to perform physical requirements including prolonged sitting/standing, lifting, shifting patients.

• Able to scrub and circulate in various IR areas for multiple procedure types.
• Turns over and prepares rooms using aseptic technique between patients; ensures equipment and supplies are ready.
• Flexible team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
• Knowledge of arterial and venous anatomy as it pertains to interventional procedures.
• On Call coverage. CVTs in Cardiac Cath Lab must take call and report within 30 minutes.

We are seeking a Cardiac Tech or Interventional Radiology Tech for our facility.

The Cardiac / Interventional Radiology technologist assists physicians in performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images.

Responsibilities:

• Able to scrub and circulate in various IR areas for multiple procedure types.
• Turns over and prepares rooms using aseptic technique between patients, assures all equipment and supplies are readily available for procedures.
• Flexible team player comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
• Knowledge of arterial and venous anatomy as it pertains to interventional procedures.
