Job summary

Northwest Medical Center Tucson seeks an experienced RN for the Cardiac Observation Unit (COU) in Tucson, AZ. This full-time, day-shift role supports pre- and post-catheterization care for Cath Lab patients, with some weekend call.

You will assess patients, plan and administer care, and assist physicians during procedures. Our COU emphasizes high acuity cardiac care with opportunities for professional development and licensure renewal reimbursement, as well as a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• RN license required in state or compact license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience in acute care or CCU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient-centered nursing care in COU.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care per protocols.
• Assist physicians during cath lab procedures and tests.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
