Qualifications

• One year experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or Neurovascular/Peripheral Vascular Angiography Lab.
• Basic skills in EKG interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and X-Ray equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physician during cardiac procedures and pacemaker implants.
• Maneuver X-Ray equipment for diagnostic imaging of the heart.
• Manage inventory and assist in transporting patients to/from the Cath Lab.

Overview

Job Summary: Assists Physician as Scrub Tech During Cardiac Procedures / Pacemaker Implants. Maneuvers X-Ray Equipment into rotated/skewed Positions to acquire Diagnostic Images of the Heart or other anatomic areas as needed. Assists with inventory and supplies, and assists in transporting Patients to and from the Cath Lab.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

1. Advanced EKG interpretation / Blood Pressure / Oxygen
2. Operation of various equipment: Digital X-Ray Equipment, Hemodynamic Monitor
3. Use of Intravascular Ultrasound / Doppler Pressure Wire, Pressure Injector
4. Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump management
5. Assist Physician in Pacemaker implantation / Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization
6. Inventory/supply procurement, Billing, and Coding

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

• Skills: Basic Computer skills, Hemodynamic Monitoring, Basic EKG Interpretation, Operation and Manipulation of X-Ray Equipment, Intravascular Ultrasound/Doppler Pressure wire
• Experience: One year in Cardiac Cath Lab or Neurovascular / Peripheral Vascular Angiography Lab

Education: 2 Years Accredited School of Radiologic Technology; Current State and National Registry; ACLS/BLS certification
