Job summary

HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team that supports lifesaving cardiac procedures. You will work with physicians using state-of-the-art cath lab technology, provide patient education and comfort, and help ensure sterile, safe care from pre-procedure through recovery.

This role requires BLS within 30 days, potential RCIS, and readiness to obtain ACLS; experience as Paramedic or LPN in critical care is acceptable in lieu of a degree.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Work Experience as a Paramedic or LPN in a Critical Care Unit (ICU or Cardiac Care) in lieu of Degree.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), preferred, new associates required to have within 24 months from date of hire. BLS/ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements.
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures.
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment.
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care.
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient.
