The Cardiac Invasive Lab Tech works in a cardiac laboratory, where they assist physicians with invasive cardiac laboratory procedures and perform various cardiac tests using a variety of cardiology equipment to monitor patients' heart and blood vessel conditions. Other duties include: setting up procedure rooms, preparing patients for procedures, gathering and documenting patient information, assisting physicians with procedures by circulating and cleaning, being proficient in X-ray fluoroscopy, obtaining, measuring, and calculating hemodynamic data, performing blood work analysis, operating intracardiac ultrasound, cleaning procedure rooms, and preparing instruments for sterilization.
