Job summary

The Cardiac Cath Technologist - Registered will support the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab in Spartanburg Medical Center, with responsibilities for patient care during invasive procedures and education of patients and staff. The role requires RCIS before hire or within 1 year, CST, and RRT credentials, and entails on-call duties and a 7a-7p schedule.

Education must include Accredited Cardiovascular, Surgical Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Technology programs.

Qualifications

• RCIS new graduate
• CST, RRT 12 months - work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides pre / post procedure teaching to patient and family, including use of teaching aids.
• Implements infection control and complies with hospital and department policies; prepares patient, wears protective equipment, and acts as a preceptor for new staff.
