We are searching for a talented Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist

*$9,000 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*

Hours: 36hrs

Shift: Day Shift, 7:00am - 4:30pm, 9 hr shift, Monday - Friday Rotating day off; Weekend, holiday and on-call rotation

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours.

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager of the Cardiac Cath Lab or designee, the technologist performs diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within the cardiac cath lab or structural heart as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities include:

  • Assuming responsibility for each assigned patient, performing patient assessments, and correlating clinical findings with exam/procedure requests.
  • Assisting interventional or invasive cardiologists in performing cardiac cath or structural heart procedures.
  • Obtaining pertinent hemodynamic and angiographic information from patients and documenting all data within the hemodynamic system and EPIC.
  • Performing patient education related to the procedure.
  • Selecting technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
  • Applying the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or graduation from an accredited program in Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
  • One year of experience as a Scrub Assistant in a cardiac catheterization/EP lab/Structural Heart is preferred.
  • Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
  • Post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Cardiac/Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology RT (CI) or (CV) is preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Pay Range

USD $40.40 - USD $60.60 /Hr.
