Job summary

IU Health is seeking personnel to provide general patient care for cardiac catheterization patients, including setting up and running equipment and performing basic procedures. The role requires BLS and ACLS certification, direct patient care experience, and knowledge of numerous catheterization techniques.

The candidate should be capable of scrubbing and circulating during procedures, monitoring patients, and handling respiratory/EKG equipment, with 24-hour on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school graduate or equivalent.
• Requires BLS and ACLS through the AHA.
• Direct patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of >15 cardiac catheterization procedures and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide general patient care to cardiac catheterization patients and prepare/run equipment.
• Scrub and circulate during catheterization procedures.
• Monitor patients undergoing procedures and respond to changes.
• Assist with respiratory, EKG equipment use and emergency procedures.
• Be available on a 24-hour call basis for emergencies.
