Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or cardiovascular diagnostic setting.
• CVT, CRT, RN licensure required or acceptable alternative.
• BCLS required within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the cardiac cath lab for procedures and ensure equipment/supplies are ready and functioning.
• Assist physicians during procedures by operating specialized equipment such as fluoroscopy, IVUS, or hemodynamic monitors.
• Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures and promptly report abnormalities.
• Document procedures, patient data, and equipment usage in accordance with policies.
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control guidelines for patient and staff safety.
• Assist in administering contrast media and medications under physician direction.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain accreditation standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of cath lab equipment to minimize downtime.
• Provide post-procedural care and guidance to patients for recovery and follow-up.
