Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) in Gainesville, GA, seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Specialist to assist in procedures under physician supervision. You will maintain sterile technique, prepare rooms, and provide support for critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with on-call responsibilities.

Under supervision, you will use specialized equipment, participate in data entry, and help ensure patient safety from preop to postprocedure.

Qualifications

• Must have strong interpersonal skills and good assessment skills.
• Ability to operate technical cath lab equipment and monitor patient condition.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required; RCIS/RT(R)/RCVT or equivalent license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile technique during invasive procedures.
• Prep procedure room and equipment; ensure correct patient data and paperwork.
• Assist Physician during percutaneous and open cases with equipment handling and care of catheters and guidewires.
• Set up and troubleshoot fluoroscopy and radiology equipment; document in EMR.
