Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, GA is seeking an experienced cardiovascular interventional nurse/tech to support imaging procedures. You will prepare patients, operate specialized equipment, and document procedures accurately while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include training new staff, participating in quality initiatives, and ensuring timely, high-quality patient care during procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; RN or radiology certification may be needed.
• Proficient in ECG interpretation, cardiovascular and vascular anatomy.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and clinical equipment is essential.
• Must read, write and speak conversational English; strong communication with teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates equipment for cardiovascular procedures and ensures sterilization.
• Produces accurate medical records based on procedure complexity and patient condition.
• Trains and supervises new staff with orientation and education.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities.
• Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and safety regulations.

$15,000 Sign On Bonus - For Eligible Candidates

Call 7-10 days with 1 weekend a month. Rolling Schedule

* Up To 20% differential of total base pay based on level advancement, aligned to education and certification progression to support career growth.

• Maintains and operates equipment and supplies for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring proper setup and sterilization.
• Produces accurate and timely medical records for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions.
• Trains and supervises new personnel, providing orientation and ongoing education.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.
• Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and enforces safety regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation [Required]
• Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy [Required]

• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
• Ability to monitor patient blood pressure, ECG, and Pulse Oximetry using sophisticated clinical equipment [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
• Preparing and positioning patients and selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately [Required]
• Preparing and administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations [Required]
• Observing patient during procedure and reporting abnormal activity. Monitoring protocols and recommending updates or refinements as warranted [Required]
• Following radiation safety procedures and guidelines [Required]
• Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures [Required]
• Ensuring all activities comply with regulatory agency standards [Required]

Pay Range:

$27.41 - $54.92
