Job summary

Beebe Healthcare is seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Tech to join the Cardiac Catheterization team. You will assist Cardiologists with diagnostic/interventional procedures, including catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, TEE/CV, IABP support, and PCI, while administering moderate sedation and ensuring patient safety.

You will operate and maintain cath lab equipment and apply clinical expertise to deliver patient-centered care, drawing on radiological and cardiovascular procedure experience.

Qualifications

• CVT certification required; fluoroscopy capability not permitted.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Preferred RT (R) or RCIS with Delaware Radiation License to use fluoroscopy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of all equipment in the department and sterile supplies.
• Assist physician with scrub duties and prepare/position patient.
• Assist in circulator role by positioning patient for digital films and administering medications/contrast under MD supervision.
• Document cases, calibrations, and patient information from the cath lab.
• Review patient charts for risk indicators and assist in transport and handling of patients.
• Provide radiation protection per safety standards for patient, staff, and self.
• Maintain controlled drug inventory and ensure crash cart is stocked and dated.
• Prepare and administer contrast media or meds under Cardiologist supervision.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies; participate in product evaluation for cost efficiency.
• Rotate in on-call status and participate in performance improvement processes.
