Job summary

Henry Ford Health, based in Detroit, seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech I to support diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiovascular Lab. The role requires scrubbing or monitoring, equipment operation, and patient safety oversight in a fast-paced setting.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited allied health program, at least one year of clinical cath lab or radiology experience, and BCLS; ACLS within six months of hire is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g., Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, or Cardiac or Vascular Sonography, or equivalent academic program and experience).
• Minimum of one year clinical experience, preferably in Cath Lab or Radiology, and/or registry eligible.
• Valid BCLS certification required; ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by performing Scrub or Monitor functions.
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies in the Cardiovascular Lab (CCL).
• Ensure patient safety by recognizing cardiac arrhythmias and responding according to emergency protocols.
• Operate external cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators as needed.

Schedule: 36hrs, Rotating Shift

What You Will Do

• Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g., Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, or Cardiac or Vascular Sonography, or equivalent academic program and experience).
• Minimum of one (1) year clinical experience, preferably in Cath Lab or Radiology, and/or registry eligible.
• Valid BCLS certification required; ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensure or Certification in degree field preferred.
